San Carlos City administers over 1K Covid vax in single day

SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan – The city government here achieved the highest single-day vaccine count on Tuesday with 1,160 administered doses of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines.
 
The number surpassed the recorded highest single-day vaccination on Monday with 1,064 doses inoculated, and 640 doses on July 23.
 
City information officer Jhuliano Nazareno said the city government aims to inject over 6,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine supply allocation from the Department of Health to qualified individuals under the A2 priority group, or the senior citizens.
 
As of July 26, some 2,545 senior citizens have been fully vaccinated in the city.

San Carlos City has six operational vaccination sites wherein the local government unit targets to inoculate at least 1,000 individuals per day depending on the vaccine allocation.
 
Meanwhile, health authorities urged the public to get vaccinated once the vaccine becomes available to them to boost their defense against the threat of the Covid-19 Delta variant. (PNA)
