Zambo City logs 94% Covid-19 recovery rate

ZAMBOANGA CITY – This city has registered a recovery rate of 94.02 percent as seven patients recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) on Friday.

Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, city health officer, said in a virtual presser late Friday that the recovered cases climbed to 11,560 out of the 12,294 infections recorded since March last year.

She said 10,386 of the 11,560 recoveries were from the community or community-related.

The rest of the recoveries are as follows: locally stranded individuals (LSIs), 377; detainees, 255; persons deprived of liberty (PDL), 208; authorized persons outside residences (APORs), 183; Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), 67; Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) personnel, 55; returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), 25; and residents who have returned from Malaysia, four.

The city has 123 active cases and 611 deaths.

Miravite said 111 or 90.24 percent of the 123 active cases are community-related while the rest are APOR, eight; and PDL, four.

Of the active cases, 37 are confined in various local private and public hospitals and 86 in various isolation facilities.

She said 602 of the 611 deaths were from the community; detainees, three; PDL, three; APOR, one; LSI, one; and, BuCor, one.

Meanwhile, Miravite said 191,994 residents who belong to the different priority groups have been inoculated.

Of the total, 104,764 received their first dose while 87,230 got their second dose of vaccines. (PNA)
