More than 500K already vaccinated in Caraga

BUTUAN CITY – Caraga Region has already administered 541,124 doses of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines as of Aug. 13, according to the Department of Health in Region XIII (DOH-13)

In a report on Monday, DOH-13 said 310,967 have already received their second doses while 230,157 persons have the first dose.

Included are 105,386 medical front-liners in Caraga, 49,256 of whom with complete doses; 166,096 senior citizens, 91,796 of them with second doses; adults with comorbidities numbering 242,982 (167,503 with full doses); 25,238 economic front-liners; and 1,422 belonging to the indigent sector.

Also on Monday, DOH-13 reported 100 new recoveries and 231 new Covid-19 cases in the region.

There are 1,437 remaining active cases out of a cumulative 26,541 infections and 857 recorded deaths since last year. (PNA)
