‘Big-time’ pusher yields P273-K illegal drugs in Zambo

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Operatives of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) have arrested a big-time drug suspect and seized some PHP273,600 worth of illegal drugs in an operation here early Wednesday.

Maj. Albin Cabayacruz, ZCPO’ Station 7 chief, identified the arrested suspect as Fahad Sabtal, 23, a resident of Faustino Drive, Barangay Mampang here, who was arrested in an operation at around 12:30 a.m. in Sitio Talungun, Barangay San Roque.

Seized from Sabtal were some 27 grams of shabu packed in four heat-sealed plastic sachets worth PHP183,600 and 750 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth PHP90,000, a backpack, and PHP500 marked money.

Cabayacruz said they launched the anti-drug operation following surveillance on the suspect's activities for several days.

The suspect will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
