5 officials get new assignments in latest PNP reshuffle

MANILA – Five ranking police officials were included in the latest reorganization in the Philippine National Police (PNP).

In an order dated Sept. 13 and released Tuesday, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar reassigned Maj. Gen. Bartolome Bustamante, current head of the Directorate for Human Resource Doctrine and Development (DHRDD), to lead the Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR).

Bustamante will replace Maj. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia, who will now head the Directorate for Operations (DO).

Meanwhile, Headquarters Support Service (HSS) chief Brig. Gen. Arthur Bisnar will replace Bustamante as the DHRDD chief.

Brig. Gen. Harold Tuzon, acting secretary to the PNP Directorial Staff, will take over the helm of the HSS while Col. Joaquin Alva will take over Tuzon's post.

The revamp will take effect on Sept. 15. (PNA)
