BUTUAN CITY – The total number of individuals who have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the Caraga Region climbed to 31,646 after 369 recoveries were reported by the Department of Health in Caraga (DOH-13) Wednesday.
The agency also reported 704 new Covid-19 infections in the area bringing the total cases in the region to 39,643.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the region also increased to 1,284 with 29 new deaths.
Caraga still has 6,713 active cases.
Of the new infections, 207 were recorded in Agusan del Sur, 104 in Surigao del Sur, 53 in Agusan del Norte, 19 in the Province of Dinagat Islands, and 10 in Surigao del Norte.
Among the cities in the region, 161 new cases were recorded in Butuan, 56 in Bayugan, 28 in Bislig, 28 in Cabadbaran, and eight in Surigao.
“We continue to remind the residents in the region to follow all the health protocols and help in the efforts to contain the further spread of the virus,” the DOH-13 said. (PNA)
