Cavite buy-bust nets P1.21-B shabu

MANILA – Police and anti-narcotics agents arrested three suspects and seized PHP1.21 billion worth of shabu in a buy-bust in Bacoor City, Cavite early Friday.

In an initial report, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said suspects Jorlan San Jose, 26; Joseph Maurin, 38; and Joan Lumanog, 27, all of Dominorig, Talatag Bukidnon, yielded 149 kilograms of shabu in an operation inside a subdivision in Barangay Molino 3 at around 6:40 a.m.

Also confiscated from the operation were one piece PHP1,000 genuine buy-bust money, boodle money and a mobile phone.

The confiscated pieces of drug evidence will be brought to the PDEA Laboratory Service for qualitative and quantitative analysis.

The suspects will be charged with the violation of the Republic Act 9165, also known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
