CEBU CITY – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has opened a Temporary Off-site Passport Services (TOPS) at the SM Seaside City Cebu to cater to more passport applicants here.

“Book your passport appointments now because the Temporary Off-site Passport Services (TOPS) is now open,” the mall management said in a social media post on Monday, gaining positive reaction from netizens.

Applicants are advised to go to passport.gov.ph to schedule an appointment and select SM Seaside City Cebu as the location.

Once schedule is confirmed, they must go to SM Seaside to process their application. They must fall in line to get their requirements verified, and proceed to the photo and biometrics area to finalize their application.

“DFA TOPS strictly follows a 'No appointment, no passport rule',” the mall management advised applicants.

For inquiries, applicants are advised to directly message DFA through its Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/dfaphl and email via [email protected].

DFA’s Cebu TOPS is located at the 3rd floor, Mountain Wing of the mall, and is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Earlier, the DFA reminded the public that passport appointment slots are free as it warned against scams offering appointments online for a fee.

The department warned the public against advertisements on social media perpetrated by unscrupulous individuals offering passport appointment slots and fake or tampered appointment documents in exchange for payment. (PNA)
