DTI-Zambales confers gold ‘Bagwis Awards’ to 5 retailers

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) office in Zambales-Olongapo City gave Bagwis awards to five product retailers that extended outstanding customer service for the year 2021.

DTI officer-in-charge provincial director Enrique Tacbad said in a statement on Thursday that the DTI-Bagwis Program recognizes establishments that protect the rights of consumers while promoting quality customer relations through the Consumer Welfare Desks (CWDs).

He said the recipients of the Gold Seal Award on Wednesday were Abenson and Ace Hardware, both in Waltermart, Subic, Zambales; Toyota Subic in Subic Bay Freeport; Ace Hardware in SM Central-Olongapo City; and Expressions in Iba, Zambales.

The DTI Bagwis Awards has three levels namely the Bronze Seal, Silver Seal, and Gold Seal.

Tacbad said DTI will continue to advocate the programs of the national office with regard to customer service excellence to benefit more the consumers. (PNA)
