CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – At least PHP9.6 million worth of dried marijuana bricks were seized from two drug suspects during an anti-drugs crackdown in San Miguel, this province early Thursday morning.

In a report, Col. Rommel J. Ochave, acting police provincial director, said operatives of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) conducted an anti-illegal drug operation in an apartment rented by the arrested suspects in Barangay Paliwasan of the said town.

Ochave identified the duo as Dexter Asban alias Dex of Barangay Caingin, Malolos City, and Jomerson Macusi of Barangay Tabang, Guiguinto. However, a cohort of the two managed to escape.

Operatives of Bulacan PIU confiscated from the suspects an estimated 80 kilos of brick-shaped dried marijuana leaves valued at PHP9.6 million by the Dangerous Drug Board (DDB).

The arrested suspects and pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan PIU office for documentation and proper disposition.
