MANILA – Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on Tuesday warned the public against a certain Michael Roa who is deceitfully posing as his chief-of-staff to solicit funds.

“This is to inform and warn the public that a certain Michael Roa has been maliciously misrepresenting himself as Chief of Staff of the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES),” Medialdea said in a statement.

He said Roa was involved in several fraudulent schemes and has reportedly solicited funds from local government units using the name of the OES and under the guise of acting under the direction and supervision of Malacañang.

“The Office of the President and the OES have not authorized any person using that name to act for and in their behalf. Both offices likewise do not have any Michael Roa under their employ,” he said.

Medialdea advised the public to immediately report to the 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center for appropriate action should anyone has ever been contacted or transacted by the said person.

"We will ensure that he and any other person using the said name shall be made responsible to the fullest extent of the law," he added. (PNA)
