MANILA – It will be more convenient for the public to report their complaints against erring government offices as the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) launches mobile hotlines to receive concerns on red tape.

ARTA director general Jeremiah Belgica said the agency is now receiving more complaints thus it adds more channels for the public to report red tape incidents in government offices.

“This is a good problem to have because it means that more Filipinos are becoming aware of ARTA's services and that we are gaining more allies in the fight against red tape," Belgica said in a statement Wednesday.

The public is encouraged to call the ARTAwag Center with mobile numbers 0965-672-4943 and 0916-266-3138 for Globe and TM users and 0969-257-7242 and 0969-516-7765 for Smart, TNT, and Sun subscribers if they have concerns and complaints related to delays in government processes, fixers, bribery, and inefficient government services, among others.

This is on top of the Hotline 8888 or the Citizens’ Complaint Center.

The ARTAwag Center is available to receive calls Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Those who want to file complaints may reach ARTA through email via [email protected], Hotline 8888, via its website arta.gov.ph, and through its social media accounts Anti-Red Tape Authority on Facebook and @artagovph on Twitter and Instagram.

Recently, the agency launched the ARTAmbayan Outpost along Magalang St., Barangay Pinyahan in Quezon City where the public can report red tape concerns. (PNA)
