SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique – Organizers of the BBM-Sara grand proclamation rally had requested a bigger venue for the event here of UniTeam presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (BBM) and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

In an interview on Thursday, Antique Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao said they are looking at the Binirayan Sports Complex, which can accommodate around 5,000 people, as the venue.

The proclamation rally for the UniTeam, which is supposed to be on Friday at the Evelio B. Javier (EBJ) Freedom Park, was postponed to March to give way to the 36th anniversary of the Edsa People Power revolution that will be held at the same venue.

“For the sake of unity, the organizers of the BBM-Sara grand rally had acquiesced for the holding of the 36th anniversary of the People Power at the same venue,” Cadiao said.

She said since they have agreed to host the BBM-Sara grand rally, she will just wait for its definite date next month.

Cadiao also expressed her support for Duterte-Carpio, who has visited and sent help to Antique province a few times.

“Sara Duterte-Carpio is close to our heart,” she said, noting that the vice presidential bet is supporting the candidacy of Antique’s lone district Rep. Loren Legarda for senator.

She believes that Legarda can do so much for the province once she makes her Senate come back.

Meanwhile, Hamtic Mayor Julius Pacificador, one of the organizers of the UniTeam grand rally in the province, said they are still fixing the date for the event.

Pacificador and his son, Vice Mayor Julius Pacificador, Jr., met with the BBM team organizers in Iloilo on Thursday.

“I will just inform you once we are already able to set a definite date, but that would be this coming March,” he said. (PNA)
