BUTUAN CITY – The Police Regional Office – Caraga (PRO – 13) has reported that 51 percent of its personnel have been administered booster shots of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines.

In a statement Monday, PRO-13 Director Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr. said the police’s Regional Medical and Dental Unit continues to administer booster shots to all its personnel, including those from the different police offices and stations daily.

“We have been encouraging our police forces to receive Covid-19 vaccine booster shots for their needed protection as front-liners,” Caramat said.

He said the available booster shots for their personnel include AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, and Sinovac.

As Caraga is placed under Alert Level 2, Caramat called on the residents to strictly adhere to the health protocols and standards to help sustain and eradicate the Covid-19 virus threat.

Meanwhile, Maj. Dorothy Tumulak, the PRO-13 public information officer, said 99.7 percent of police personnel in the region are now fully vaccinated.

“Our full vaccination continues to the 15 percent of our personnel who received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccines,” Tumulak said.

She added that PRO-13 recorded zero Covid-19 cases among its personnel as of Monday. (PNA)
