James Harden makes home debut, Sixers beat Knicks

ANKARA – The Philadelphia 76ers superstar and NBA Eastern Conference team's winter signing, James Harden, made his home debut as the Sixers beat the New York Knicks 123-108 in a Wednesday NBA game.

Harden, who appeared for the first time as a 76ers guard at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center, missed a triple-double with 26 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.

But the Sixers stars were balanced in scoring against the Knicks.

In addition to Harden, Joel Embiid scored 27 points and took 12 rebounds.

Philadelphia guard Tyrese Maxey clocked up 25 points to contribute to the win.

Knicks guard RJ Barrett was the game's top scorer as he racked up 30 points for the visitors.

Barrett made seven assists as well.

New York power forward Julius Randle added 24 points and had six rebounds.

The game was 75-75 with five minutes and 21 seconds in the third quarter, but the Sixers extended their lead to double digits near the end of that period, 93-81.

In the fourth quarter, the Sixers did not let their opponents catch them as they secured their fourth win in a row.

The Sixers are in the third position in the Eastern Conference standings, having a 38-23 win-loss record this season.

The Knicks are going 25-37 to be 12th in the East.
