BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) of the Diocese of Balanga, Bataan is in need of volunteers, Bishop Ruperto Santos announced on Monday.

PPCRV is a citizen watchdog group accredited by the Commission on Elections. It is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, and non-profit organization under the Roman Catholic Church that seeks to ensure free, fair, and honest elections.

“We are grateful for our PPCRV coordinators. And we are looking forward to more volunteers. God bless us all, now and always,” the Bataan prelate said in a statement.

Santos made the call after the installation of the Diocese of Balanga parish coordinators for PPCRV at the Cathedral Shrine Parish of Saint Joseph here.

He reminded the electorate to remember the three “Ks”.

Halalan is our karapatan, halalan is our katungkulan and halalan is our kinabukasan (The election is our right, responsibility, and future),” he said.

The Diocese of Balanga is composed of Catholic parishes in the towns of Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Pilar, Orion, Limay, Mariveles, Bagac and Morong, and Balanga City. (PNA)
