SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique – Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao of Antique on Tuesday said it would be difficult to be paired with another candidate for vice governor who is being pushed by the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) provincial chapter.

In an interview, she stood firm with the LCD local coalition which stands for Antonio Agapito Legarda, Cadiao, and incumbent Vice Governor Edgar Denosta.

Legarda is aiming for the congressional seat while Cadiao and Denosta are seeking reelection in the May 2020 polls.

“I can’t afford to change horses in the middle of the game,” she said.

Cadiao said while she is grateful for the support to her and Legarda, they could not afford to drop Denosta just to accommodate Julius Cezar Tajanlangit, who is running under the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).

In an earlier interview, PFP Antique provincial chairman Angel Capadocia said they are supporting a new team, the LCT which stands for Legarda, Cadiao, and Tajanlangit.

Denosta, who is running under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), has affiliated himself with presidential aspirant, Vice President Leni Robredo.

Cadiao and Legarda were adopted by the PFP because they are supportive of the UniTeam of former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Antique Lone District Rep. Loren Legarda, who is now running for senator, is also a guest candidate of the BBM-Sara UniTeam. (PNA)
