DAVAO CITY--The UniTeam tandem of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice-presidential bet Mayor Sara Duterte is all set for their grand rally in Davao Region Wednesday, March 30.
In a statement Tuesday, the UniTeam said the region is a known bailiwick of the Dutertes, with an estimated 2.8 million registered voters.
The first sortie will be in Carmen, Davao del Norte, whose governor and congressman are supporters of another presidential candidate.
The proclamation rally will be at an open space along the national highway in Carmen town just fronting the municipal hall.
"Supporters from Davao City, Davao Oriental, and Davao del Norte are expected to converge in the morning rally as a show of force," the statement said.
After the Carmen event, the UniTeam candidates will proceed to Pantukan, Davao de Oro, for another rally before going to Digos, Davao del Sur, for the last leg of their four-day sortie in Mindanao.
The UniTeam has visited Regions 9, 11, and 12.
On Tuesday, a massive crowd gathered at the UZ Summit Center in Zamboanga City where the proclamation rally was held at the closed-space venue.
"Close to 100,000 Zamboangueños also showed their support to Marcos during a motorcade from Zamboanga airport to the rally venue," the statement added.
The BBM-Sara UniTeam started its Mindanao sortie on Sunday in the provinces of South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat amid two proclamation rallies, followed by a visit on Monday to Maguindanao and North Cotabato provinces. (PNA)
