CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – More than 8,000 jobs await applicants in the job and business fairs in Central Luzon on May 1, the Department of Labor and Employment-Region 3 (DOLE-3) office here said on Monday.

Dubbed as the 2022 Labor Day Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Job and Business Fair, the event will be held at the Kingsborough International Convention Center here.

DOLE-3 Regional Director Geraldine Panlilio urged job hunters to sign up and register through Vantagehunt, an employment solution platform for both job seekers and employers.

Panlilio said applicants may pre-register their account through vantagehunt.com until April 29 to join the on-site job fair on May 1.

She said vacant positions in more than 50 participating companies in the region vary from cost accountants, research and development specialists, sales representatives, technicians, nurses, helpers, and a lot more.

The job fair also offers vacancies to fresh graduates and skilled workers, Panlilio said.

She added that job seekers may also coordinate with the nearest DOLE Field Office and Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

“To all job seekers, let us take this as an opportunity to connect and have an interview with your prospective employers. You can be one of the workers who are hired on the spot,” Panlilio said in a statement.

Meanwhile, another job fair will be on May 6 at Waltermart, Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija.

Aside from the recruitment activity, the Department of Trade and Industry and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority will facilitate skills training and seminars while various products will be displayed by local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and DOLE livelihood beneficiaries on the same date.

Partner agencies, such as the Social Security System, Home Development Mutual Fund, PhilHealth, Philippine Statistics Authority, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue will also be represented to provide pre-employment services. (PNA)
