DAVAO CITY – With 7 days left before the elections, vice presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte vowed to “move mountains” in serving the Filipinos should she win the May 9 elections.

“I will not say that I will the best vice president we will ever have. We will let history be the judge of that. I am not the best. I am not the most brilliant candidate out there. Pero kung meron kang ipapagawa sa akin, I will move mountains para ma-deliver yan sa iyo,” Duterte said during Monday’s episode of Net 25’s “Sa Ganang Mamamayan” hosted by Sen. Francis Tolentino.

Yung nasa akin po talaga na nasasabi ko sa’ting lahat is yung tibay ng puso ko as a Filipino and of course na nasa ating lahat, mga Pilipino,” she added.

Mayor Sara shared her struggles during the campaign period but stood her ground on Filipinos’ resiliency during prevailing circumstances.

Tulad ng lahat ng public servants, humuhugot tayo ng lakas sa sarili natin and humuhugot tayo ng lakas (to) our commitment sa mga tao na mag serve sa ating bayan,” Duterte said.

Towards the end of the 90-day campaign period, the UniTeam ticket with her tandem, presidential frontrunner and former and former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, has reached a diversity of Filipinos as they toured different places around the country.

She added that she was able to make a connection with different people of different cultures, and proved that Filipinos are like no other.

Nakita ko na pagmamahal ng mga kababayan natin sa kanilang bayan at mga kultura. Iba-iba talaga ‘yung mga kultura but ang pareho sa lahat is that we are proud of our culture and heritage,” Duterte said.

As she urged Filipinos to get their 3rd shot (booster shot) of Covid-19 vaccine to help the country slowly recover from the pandemic, she thanked everyone for their unwavering support and appealed to respect each other’s political opinions.

“We should pray for an orderly, honest and pecaceful elections ngayong darating na Lunes, May 9, 2022. Lahat tayo ay dapat respetuhin natin kung ano ‘yung resulta ng eleksyon at suportahan natin yung mga ihahalal at ipapanalo ng ating mga kababayan,” Duterte said.

She added: “Maraming salamat sa inyong patuloy na suporta sa akin. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas. Mahalin natin ang Pilipinas!” (PR)
