MANILA – The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Tuesday announced that the second quarter online National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) will be on June 9.
"Muling inaaanyayahan ang sambayanan na makilahok sa second quarter online NSED, sa ika-9 ng Hunyo 2022, alas nuwebe nang umaga. Magsisimula ang programa ng alas otso (We are inviting again the public to participate in the second quarter online NSED which will be held on June 9 at 9 a.m. The program starts at 8 a.m.)," the agency said in a Facebook post.
"Sabay-sabay tayong mag-duck, cover, and hold sa pagtunog ng sirena (Together, let us duck, cover, and hold once the siren starts)," it added.
The OCD said the evacuation part of the second online NSED is still not allowed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The first quarter online NSED for 2022 was held last March 10.
The second quarter NSED can be watched live stream on Civil Defense PH and NDRRMC Facebook pages and YouTube channels.
In 2021, the NSED for the first and second quarters was held on March 11 and June 10, respectively. The third quarter national earthquake drill was on September 16 while the fourth quarter drill was on November 11. (PNA)
