MANILA – The Mandaluyong city government on Thursday said it has opened the administration of second Covid-19 booster shots to other priority groups belonging to the healthcare workers (A1) and senior citizens (A2) population.

In its public advisory, the city government said healthcare workers and senior citizens who already have the first booster shots four months ago may now avail of the second booster dose at the Atrium executive building in Mandaluyong city hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The city government will administer Pfizer, Moderna, and Sinovac vaccines for second booster shots.

Walk-in vaccinees are allowed, just bring a valid government-issued ID and vaccination card.

Meanwhile, the San Juan city government will begin its second booster vaccination program on Friday.

The city government encouraged the eligible residents belonging to A1 and A2 priority groups to start registering online via https://vaxreg.sanjuancity.gov.ph/vaccine_registration/public/, to avail of the Covid-19 jab.

San Juan's main vaccination site for second boosters is located at the city's Greenhills Mall (3rd Floor of V-mall).

The Department of Health, through the National Vaccination Operations Center, has earlier released a memorandum No. 2022-0206, outlining the interim operational guidelines on the administration of the second booster dose for the elderly and healthcare workers.

The second booster must be administered at least four months after getting the first booster dose.

The government urged those who are eligible individuals to get themselves injected with additional booster protection against Covid-19 infection. (PNA)
