MANILA – A weather forecaster on Wednesday said many areas in the country will experience fair weather, with isolated rains caused by localized thunderstorms.
"(The country) is currently experiencing monsoon break, which means slim chances of rains. This may last until the next two days," Grace Castañeda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
She said Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Davao Region as the weather bureau continues to monitor it due to the possibility that a low pressure area (LPA) may form.
Luzon will have fair weather, and it will be a bit warm at noon. Rains are likely in the afternoon or evening.
"Our advice is to bring protection against sunlight and rains if you have outdoor activities," Castañeda said.
The Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will have generally fair weather, with chances of isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA forecast light winds and slight seas across the entire archipelago. (PNA)
