MANILA – The two Philippine teams in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Manila Masters were knocked out of the quarterfinal round at Ayala Malls Manila Bay Activity Center in Parañaque City on Sunday.

Manila Chooks fell prey to Sansar of Mongolia, 16-21, while Cebu Chooks got whipped by World No. 3 Liman of Serbia, 11-21.

Sansar zoomed ahead in the endgame despite an early domination by Manila's Henry Iloka, who imposed his will inside the paint and tallied six of Manila's first seven points.

Ken Holmqvist and Chico Lanete got their game going, and Manila surged to a 12-8 lead.

However, behind back-to-back deuces from Anand Ariunbold, Sansar launched a game-turning 11-2 run that put them up for good, 19-14.

Enkhbaatar Onolbaatar put the finishing touches with the match point-clinching layup, 1:53 remaining.

Ariunbold finished with nine points, while Onolbaatar added six, Gansukh Avarzed had four, and Batzolboo Borgil tallied two for Sansar.

Iloka was held to just one point the rest of the way and finished with seven points.

Meanwhile, Liman opened the game with an 18-4 run within the first six minutes, and Cebu never recovered.

Mihailo Vasic led Liman with eight points.

Zach Huang and Mac Tallo each scored four points for Cebu City.

Sansar and Liman will face off in the semifinals. (PNA)
