MANILA – Three bettors became instant millionaires after winning the nearly PHP44 million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said on Wednesday.

In an advisory, the PCSO said the bettors guessed the winning combination 25-20-29-07-21-02 drawn on Tuesday night.

The draw carried a total prize of PHP43,912,343.80.

The winning tickets were purchased by three bettors in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan; Silang, Cavite; and Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

To claim the check, the bettors must go to PCSO's main office in Mandaluyong City and present the winning ticket and two ID cards.

As provided in the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 shall be subject to a 20 percent final tax.

A total of 80 other bettors who guessed five out of the six winning combinations won PHP24,000 each, the PCSO said.

About 2,848 bettors got PHP800 each for getting four of the winning combinations right while 37,932 bettors won PHP20 each for guessing three right combinations.

The 6/42 Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

PCSO General Manager Royina Garma urged the public to keep on patronizing the agency’s products as a large chunk of its revenues goes to charity programs.

The PCSO serves as the principal government agency for raising and providing funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities of national character. (PNA)
