DAVAO CITY – Over 6,000 slots await jobseekers in Davao Region for the 2022 Kalayaan Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Job and Business Fair from June 10 to 12 at the NCCC Mall-Buhangin here.

In a statement Friday, the Department of Labor and Employment in Davao Region (DOLE-11) bared the event will bring together 47 employers in the region offering 3,468 local and 2,798 overseas job vacancies.

DOLE-11 Director Randolf Pensoy said a mini-jobs fair will be held on June 10 and 11 while the main jobs fair on June 12.

Pensoy said the main jobs fair, coinciding with the 124th Philippine Independence Day celebration, is in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry, Public Employment Service Office-Davao, and NCCC Mall.

Pensoy said the top five job opportunities for local employment include customer service representatives, sales associates, technical support experts, production staff, and outbound sales representatives, while top job overseas opportunities include nurses, customer service staff, housekeeping, and welders.

“We hope to bring more job opportunities to the people through streamlined activities such as this TNK Job and Business Fair. This has been one of our strategies to persistently revive our economy in the region as well as enhance our business confidence,” he said.

Pensoy said pre-registration, screening, and job matching stages will be conducted online.

“Pre-screened jobseekers shall then proceed to the venue for the face-to-face interview with the employers,” he said.

He urged jobseekers to check their official Facebook page for the pre-registration link.

“In addition to pre-registered jobseekers, walk-in clients are also welcome to the job fair,” the DOLE-11 official added. (PNA)
