ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rains in Mindanao, Palawan

MANILA – The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is seen to bring overcast weather over Mindanao and Palawan on Saturday.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecast cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, brought by the ITCZ, over the Zamboanga Peninsula, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, and Palawan.

Meanwhile, the easterlies and localized thunderstorms will result in partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Winds in Luzon and the Visayas will be light to moderate, headed southeast to south, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

In Mindanao, winds will likewise be light to moderate but headed east to southeast and with similar coastal water conditions.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 26°C to 34°C; Tagaytay City, 22°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 32°C; Cagayan de Oro City, 25°C to 31°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 33°C. (PNA)
