MANILA – A bettor in Malabon became an instant millionaire after guessing the right six-digit combination of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on Friday, winning the PHP103-million jackpot.
In an advisory Saturday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the bettor picked the numbers 10-12-02-27-03-18 for a total earnings of PHP103,269,281.60.
The bettor can claim his cheque at PCSO's main office in Mandaluyong City by presenting the winning ticket and two identification cards.
As provided in the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 shall be subject to a 20-percent tax.
A total of 122 won PHP32,000 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits; 5,268 will get PHP1,000 each for four correct digits; and 64,507 will settle for PHP30 each for three correct digits.
Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.
Mega Lotto 6/45 is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
This is the third time this month that a sole bettor bagged the jackpot prize.
The first was from Cavite, bagging the PHP9.4-million jackpot in the 6/42 draw on Thursday, and another from Las Piñas City, who won PHP12.9 million jackpot in the 6/42 draw on June 9. (PNA)
