BUTUAN CITY – An employee of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Agusan del Sur and his companion were arrested in a buy-bust operation on Saturday afternoon in Prosperidad town.

In an interview, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Caraga Region (PDEA-13) chief information officer Dindo Abellanosa said DAR’s Erwin Parreno and Windelinda Madura were nabbed in Purok 21 in Barangay Poblacion, Prosperidad town.

PDEA-13 and Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office operatives seized four pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, weighing 50 grams and with a market value of around PHP400,000; a genuine PHP1,000 bill marked money; and the nine pieces of PHP1,000 boodle money.

“Parreno is a high-value target, aside from being a government employee,” Abellanosa said. (PNA)
