DAVAO CITY — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in Davao Region (LTFRB-11) announced on Tuesday that 5,196 taxi units will be awarded with the Pantawid Pasada Fuel Subsidy Cards this June 25.

“The fuel subsidy cards will be received by the taxi operators upon compliance of the forms at the LTFRB-11 Office in Libby Road, Bago Gallera,” LTFRB-11 said in a statement.

Each card is worth PHP6,500.

LTFRB-11 said the Pantawid Pasada Fuel Subsidy Cards will be released to the bonafide taxi operators by personnel of Land Bank Toril Branch.

Some 700 public utility jeepney units with blocked or purged cards will also receive new ones from the Landbank Matina Branch.

The agency started distributing the fuel subsidy cards for 7,273 Filcab beneficiaries in the region in February.

Meanwhile, LTFRB-11 regional director Nonito Llanos said the agency has so far recorded almost 4.1 million commuters who have availed of the government’s Service Contracting Program from April 14, 2022 to June 9, 2022.

LTFRB-11 said the Service Contracting Program aims to help the operators and drivers whose livelihoods have been affected by Covid-19 pandemic and the continued fuel price hikes. (PNA)
