Bulacan’s weeklong ops net 125 drug suspects, P1.1M illegal drugs

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – Over PHP1.1 million worth of illegal drugs and 125 drug suspects were arrested in a weeklong anti-drugs operation in this province.
 
In his report on Monday, Col. Charlie Cabardilla, Bulacan Police Provincial Office chief, said the operations from June 20-26, 2022 were part of their continuing efforts to get rid of illegal drugs in the province.
 
Cabardilla said the drug suspects were arrested in a series of anti-drug busts by various stations’ Drug Enforcement Unit of Bulacan police.
 
He said the confiscated illegal drugs include 430 sachets of shabu and 21 sachets of dried marijuana leaves worth a total of PHP1.19 million, assorted drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.
 
Aside from anti-illegal drug operations, he added seven felons were arrested during the search warrant operations while 97 persons wanted by law, including eight most wanted caught by the tracker teams of different police and military units.
 
Meanwhile, Cabardilla said 184 illegal gamblers were arrested in different anti-illegal gambling operations.
 
He said all suspects are under the custody of the arresting units or stations. (PNA)
