P1-M shabu seized in Bacolod buy-busts

BACOLOD CITY – Anti-drug teams of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized a total of PHP1.03 million in suspected shabu from four individuals in two separate buy-busts on Sunday, reports on Monday showed.

One of the suspects, Mariane Gumban, 25, was arrested by operatives of Police Station 5 along Bangga Bagul in Barangay Granada at around 11:55 p.m. on Sunday.

The suspect was caught red-handed selling an elongated sachet of suspected worth PHP200 to a poseur-buyer, the report said.

Gumban also yielded one knot-tied and 13 elongated heat sachets weighing 75 grams valued at PHP510,000.

Earlier at 2:40 a.m., three suspects were apprehended during the operation of City Drug Enforcement Unit in Purok Kapawa, Barangay Punta Taytay.

They were identified as Cyril Gepielago, 49, and Julius Londres, 42, both tagged as high-value individuals, and their companion Pearly Mae Panes, 30, all residents of the same village.

Their arrest came after they sold PHP1,000 worth of suspected shabu to an undercover policeman.

Operatives from their possession 20 sachets of shabu weighing 77 grams with a standard drug price of PHP523,600.

The three suspects were endorsed to the custody of Police Station 9. (PNA)
