MANILA – Netizens on Tuesday were warned against fake online accounts claiming to be official pages of the Office of Vice President (OVP) Sara Duterte and its satellite offices.
In a Viber message, OVP spokesperson Reynold Munsayac said there is neither an OVP Facebook account nor pages of her satellite offices.
“The public is hereby warned of fake Office of the Vice President and Satellite Offices Facebook Accounts. There are no OVP FB accounts,” he said.
The OVP earlier opened several satellite offices nationwide including offices in Dagupan City, Cebu, Tacloban, Zamboanga, Davao, and Tandag, Surigao del Sur.
Although these offices have started rolling out medical and burial assistance, Munsayac noted that the OVP is still in the process of updating its official website.
“The OVP is in the process of updating the official government OVP website which will hold all information about the OVP,” he added.
For now, immediate information and updates may be accessed via Duterte's official Facebook account "Inday Sara Duterte." (PNA)
