MANILA – In line with ongoing efforts to improve its interoperability, the Philippine Army (PA) and the US Army Pacific (USARPAC) formally kicked off on Tuesday a three-day "Logistics Subject Matter Expert Exchange" (LOGSMEE) to share the best practices among the two services.

The event was held at the Philippine Army headquarters in Fort Bonifacio and was attended by key logistics officers, according to PA spokesperson, Col. Xerxes Trinidad, in a statement late Wednesday night.

LOGSMEE is alternately hosted by the Philippines and the US.

This year’s edition is spearheaded by Col. Jesus Jeffrey Grapa, commander of the 1st Logistics Support Group of the Army Support Command, and Col. Tracy Lanier, deputy commander of the 8th Theater Sustainment Command, USARPAC.

"The bilateral activity is aimed at enhancing interoperability between PA and USARPAC in logistics operations; sharing best practices on logistics operations in support of combined arms operations, and sustaining strong relations among logisticians of both armies," Trinidad said. (PNA)
