KORONADAL CITY – Senator Jinggoy Estrada renewed calls for unity among Filipinos on Thursday to attain progress and economic prosperity in the country.
Estrada issued the call during his speech as guest speaker at the opening program of the weeklong 23rd T’nalak Festival and 56th founding anniversary of South Cotabato in this city.
“If we support and encourage one another, if we set aside our differences and focus on what unites us all, I do not doubt in my mind that our collective dreams as a nation will be woven and turn into reality,” the senator said.
Estrada believes that just like the T’nalak fabric, the future of the Philippines "will be bright and beautiful if Filipinos will continue to work together under the Bayanihan spirit.”
In the same speech, Estrada reiterated his support for the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. as he vowed to help push for laws to improve the living condition of Filipinos.
“This occasion proves to us the worst may be already behind us, we can, and we should celebrate,” Estrada said.
Estrada said the first 10 bills he filed in the Senate are all labor-related with an emphasis on uplifting the well-being of the Filipino workers.
“I want to ensure that our workforce has productive jobs with fair and decent wages, with their labor rights upheld and not abused nor exploited by their employers,” he said. (PNA)
