BUTUAN CITY – Dinagat Islands has received a PHP4 million sea ambulance from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to boost its medical transport capability.

“This will boost the capability of the provincial government to provide safe and fast services to the residents, especially in times of emergency,” Governor Nilo Demerey Jr. said in a statement Thursday.

Handed over by the UNFPA Wednesday, Demerey said the sea ambulance is already packaged with emergency kits and medical paraphernalia.

“The people of Dinagat Islands are grateful to the continuing support of the UNFPA, especially in providing health services in the province,” Demerey said. (PNA)
