ILOILO CITY – Members and non-members of the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) are encouraged to avail of the services made available under the Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels (LPOW) that will be piloted in the municipality of Miagao, Iloilo from Aug. 1 to 2.

“The Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels is a mobile branch, a vehicle that will be deployed in far-flung areas that are underserved or the (internet) signal is weak,” said Pag-IBIG Molo Branch Manager Mary Faith Jocelyn Poylan in an interview on Wednesday.

It will extend basic services such as receiving applications for multi-purpose loans, retirement or death claims, Modified Pag-IBIG II (MP2) Savings, loyalty card plus, registration, and inquiries on other programs.

Poylan said since its launching in Manila last year, LPOW would travel to Panay for the first time, particularly in Iloilo to be piloted in the municipality of Miagao and hosted by the Pag-IBIG Molo branch.

She added that LPOW hoped to answer the concerns of around 4,927 members in Miagao alone but it can also accommodate members from other southern towns of Iloilo like those from Tigbauan, Guimbal, Igbaras, San Joaquin, and Tubungan.

From Aug. 3 to 5 LPOW will be in Guimaras and will be in northern Iloilo on Aug. 8. It will also visit Capiz and Aklan, Poylan said.

This July, LPOW traveled to Cadiz, San Carlos; Sagay in Negros Occidental; and Bacolod City.

After the Panay leg the LPOW will return to Cebu to wait for the next schedule of deployment. (PNA)
