MANILA – The southwest monsoon or “habagat” will continue to bring rains over some areas in northern Luzon, the weather bureau said Wednesday.

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over the Cordillera region and the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Cagayan, and Batanes.

Light to moderate, with at times heavy rains are forecast over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Batanes, Abra, Apayao, and Cagayan.

Flash floods or landslides are likely in these areas during moderate to at times heavy rains, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Up to 33°C temperature is forecast over Metro Manila, Tuguegarao, Laoag, and Legazpi.

The temperature in Tacloban, Iloilo, Cebu, and Davao could likewise reach 33°C.

The temperature in Zamboanga, meanwhile, could rise to 34°C.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail over the entire archipelago. (PNA)
