LAOAG CITY – Ilocos Norte residents who wish to avail of the services of state-run Pag-IBIG Fund are encouraged to take advantage of the Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels (LPOW) that is being rolled out in underserved communities this week.

"The Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels is a vehicle that will be deployed in far-flung areas that are underserved or it has a weak internet connection,” said branch manager Aileen Angelie Abelanes of the Pag-IBIG Fund Ilocos Norte branch in San Nicolas town.

From Aug. 8 to 12, the LPOW will be visiting the province, particularly at the Dingras Civic Center on Monday, Sarrat public market (north of the river) on Tuesday, Bacarra old public market on Wednesday, Batac City public market on Thursday, and beside the Bangui municipal hall on Friday.

“This forms part of our pro-active approach in helping Filipino workers towards membership savings and home financing,” said Abelanes in her letter addressed to the mayors, requesting them to assist in informing their constituents about the agency’s mobile outreach services.

Among the basic services offered include applications for multi-purpose loans, retirement or death claims, Modified Pag-IBIG II Savings, loyalty card plus, registration, and inquiries on other programs. (PNA)
