2 die as fire razes 15 houses in Bataan town

ORANI, Bataan – A father and his daughter died in a fire that burned 15 houses here on Monday morning.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported that 10 houses were razed to the ground while five others were partially damaged.

The blaze that started around 9:26 a.m was declared under control at 10:05 a.m. and fire-out at 10:36 a.m.

Residents helped the firefighters by dousing water on the blaze using pails and small hoses.

Barangay Pacar chair Pepito Dionisio said the fatalities were trapped inside their house and even rushed to the Orani District Hospital.

Police identified the victims as Johnny Muyon, 56, and Janine Emerald Muyon, 20.

The Orani BFP said it is still ascertaining the cause of the fire and the amount of damage to properties. (PNA)
