CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Zamboanga-Sulu-Tawi-tawi Regional Football Association (Zambasulta FA) announced Wednesday its hosting of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Under-19 years old  (U19) Boys National Championship 2nd Division for Visayas and Mindanao (Vis-Min).

The Vis-Min National Group Stage 2022 tourney is set for August 22-27 in Zamboanga City.

The PFF Competitions Committee has confirmed that the Zambasulta FA has been granted the privilege to host the weeklong competition.

Three match days are set on August 23, 25, and 27 among teams that advanced from their group stages in the Visayas and Mindanao.

Competing teams are host Zambasulta FA, Camiguin-Misamis Oriental Regional FA, Central Visayas Regional FA, and Golden Davao RFA.

The tournament will be held at Zamboanga’s newly-refurbished Juan Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex (JEMSC).

Zamboanga City's local government has recently laid out an artificial turf for the JEMSC football ground to replace the natural grass.

Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe, who is leading the organizational setup of the hosting, has inspected the pitch with Zambasulta president Dr. Justin Paber and general secretary Wendel Sotto.

The PFF, led by U19 tournament manager Warren Concepcion, is traveling to Zamboanga this week to finalize the preparation. (PNA)
