MANILA – The Philippine Airlines (PAL) said on Thursday a two-hour system outage was experienced earlier at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2, delaying seven international and domestic flights.

PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said the temporary system outage around 2:43 a.m. to 4:45 a.m. caused the delay of the following PAL flights:

PR300 Manila - Hong Kong was delayed by 27minutes
PR591 Manila - Saigon by 16 minutes
PR511 Manila - Singapore by 29 minutes
PR890 Manila - Taipei by 1 hour and 7 minutes
PR1781 Manila - Puerto Princesa by 41 minutes
PR1949 Manila - Zamboanga by 47 minutes
PR2953 Manila - Cotabato by 1 hour and 19 minutes

"Our passenger check-in team had to carry out manual check-in procedures within the said two-hour period," Villaluna told the Philippine News Agency (PNA).

The check-in system was fully restored, and normal passenger check-in procedures resumed at 4:45 a.m.

The Manila International Airport Authority said there was no internet connection problem at Terminal 2 early Thursday.

"According to Terminal 2's Management Information Systems Division, no internet connection was encountered at Terminal 2 earlier. It was PAL's own network server which had a problem," it said. (PNA)
