2 most wanted ‘child abusers’ fall in Caraga

BUTUAN CITY – Two rape suspects considered as among the most wanted persons in the Caraga Region have been arrested in separate law enforcement operations, the police regional office said Thursday.

In a statement, the Police Regional Office in Caraga identified those apprehended Wednesday as Oscar Takiang Vallar, 22; and Eric Vistal Inchoco, 45, listed as the seventh and tenth most wanted persons in the region, respectively.

Vallar was nabbed in Barangay San Vicente here while Inchoco was collared in Barangay Taod-oy, Magallanes, Agusan del Norte.

Vallar is the principal suspect in the rape of a minor sometime between October 15 and 18, 2020, while Inchoco was charged with the rape of a 13-year-old deaf-mute on December 10, 2020.

The arrest warrants against suspects were issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 1 here early this month.

No bail was recommended by the court for the suspects' temporary liberty.

The suspects are currently under the custody of the arresting police units. (PNA)
