MANILA -- Cebu Pacific (CEB) on Friday said passengers should manage their flight bookings early and allot ample time for airport check-in procedures as its system will be down for a certain period from Aug. 23 to Aug. 24.
In an advisory posted on its Facebook page, CEB said its booking system will be down from 7 p.m. of Aug. 23 until 3 a.m. of Aug. 24.
Guests will be unable to book or manage their flights during this period, so they are advised to manage their flights earlier.
Those with outbound flights during the system downtime schedule are urged to be at the airport four hours before an international flight and three hours before a domestic flight, and allot ample time for pre-departure procedures.
They are also advised to check in online, in advance, and save their boarding passes on their mobile devices for faster check-in at the airport.
The CEB staff will conduct check-in procedures manually.
On Thursday, the Philippine Airlines experienced a two-hour system outage, resulting in the delay of seven flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2.
Boosting international network
Meanwhile, CEB announced Friday additional flight frequencies for several international destinations.
From the current five times a week, daily flights between Manila and Bangkok, Thailand will be offered starting August 29.
The current thrice weekly flights between Manila and Bali, Indonesia will be increased to five times weekly in September, although CEB did not announce the specific target date.
Daily flights between Manila and Nagoya, Japan will be offered beginning September 23, from the current five weekly operations.
The carrier also plans to restart its Manila-Brunei flights by September 1, with twice-weekly services. (PNA)
