MANILA – National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Brig. Gen. Jonnel C. Estomo, on Monday warned that the days of the region's rogue cops are already numbered.

This, as he assured an intensified internal cleansing will be implemented under his leadership.

"We will never tolerate and will continue to uncover and unfold the tactics and hidden agenda of some of our personnel and guarantee that those proven guilty will be removed from the police service," he said in a statement.

From 2016 to 2022, a total of 29 NCRPO personnel were dismissed from the service with no chance of getting reinstated.

Out of the 29 personnel, one was dismissed for murder, one for homicide, two for rape, one for illegal drugs, five for kidnapping/illegal detention, two for robbery extortion while 10 were dismissed for other charges.

Estomo also assured that other cases pending the finality of the decision will be dealt with accordingly.

He also warned all PNP personnel and reminded all district directors, chiefs of police, and station commanders as well as chiefs of units and offices to properly and constantly supervise their men to maintain discipline and order within the ranks and ensure their compliance to all lawful orders, policies, rules, and regulations.
