BAGUIO CITY – A dental technician was declared dead in a hospital in Tabuk City, Kalinga following a shooting early Thursday morning.
Maj. Noel Laguiwed, Tabuk City Police Station deputy commander, in a report identified the fatality as Joegie Valera Cabicungan, 37, of Purok 3, Barangay Bulanao, Tabuk City who suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The other victim, Orland Dave "Sadam" Pascual, also a dental technician, of Sitio Baligatan, Purok 6, Bulanao, remains unconscious due to a gunshot wound.
Laguiwed said the shooting occurred around 12:45 a.m. inside a resto-bar in Barangay San Juan.
The initial report said the victims were drinking inside the restobar where the unidentified suspect, who was also drinking at a nearby table, stood and went to the victims’ table and shot them several times.
The suspect fled after the shooting.
Authorities are still investigating the case. (PNA)
