2 suspects yield almost P4.6-M ‘shabu’ in Bacolod City

BACOLOD CITY – Operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) seized PHP4.59 million in suspected shabu from two drug personalities during a buy-bust in Barangay Bata on Saturday.

Police identified the suspects as Anthony “Tiboy” Solon, 38, of Purok Riverside, Barangay Bata; and Erwin “Boy” Belonio, 34, of Zone 11, Barangay Handumanan.

In a report, the CDEU headed by Lt. Joven Mogato, said both Solon and Belonio are considered high-value individuals.

They were arrested at 12:30 a.m. after selling a sachet of shabu worth PHP3,000 to an undercover police officer at Solon’s house.

The suspects also yielded six plastic bags and 10 heat-sealed sachets of the same prohibited substance.

The seized items, which weighed around 675 grams and pegged at PHP6,800 per gram, totaled PHP4.59 million.

The suspects will be charged with the violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
