The DOH-13 also led on Monday the launching of the “Bakunahang Bayan Pinaslakas,” which aims to encourage more residents in the region to have themselves vaccinated against Covid-19.

The Surigao City Airport, through the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), opened on Tuesday a vaccination space right at the departure area of the facility as support for the launching of the “Bakunahang Bayan Pinaslakas” program.

“As of 12:00 noon on Tuesday, a total of 20 of our employees received their first shots of the Covid-19 vaccines,” said Junelito Abrazado, the CAAP manager at the Surigao City Airport, in an interview.

Abrazado said the vaccination at the airport is also open to outsiders, including the family members of their employees. (PNA)
