MANILA – Two low pressure areas (LPAs) have developed over Pacific Ocean, including one that is already inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, Beneson Estareja of PAGASA said the nearest LPA entered PAR Saturday night and is now located 1,315 kilometers east of Central Luzon.

The trough of the LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Zamboanga, he added.

Estareja said the other LPA spotted over 2,000 kms south of Visayas is also expected to enter PAR in the coming days.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds blowing northeast, and moderate to rough coastal waters.

The temperature ranges between 25°C to 32.3°C. (PNA)
