NLEX beats TNT behind Clark's explosion

MANILA – Earl Clark put up a monster game to help give Frankie Lim his first win as NLEX Road Warriors head coach as the team turned back TNT Tropang Giga, 110-101, in their PBA Commissioner's Cup meeting on Wednesday night at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

Clark finished with 45 points on 19-of-27 shooting, 16 rebounds, and four blocks for the Road Warriors, who also won against their former star Calvin Oftana.

Up by double-digits at the end of the first quarter, NLEX finished the game strong after TNT slowly crawled back in the next two quarters, outscoring them, 36-24, in the final 12 minutes to steal the game.

Kevin Alas added 24 points, one rebound, and three assists off the bench for the Road Warriors, who moved up to third place in the standings at 3-2.

Cam Oliver put up 26 points, 22 rebounds, five assists, and one block to lead the Tropang Giga, who fell to 2-2. (PNA)
